multimedia or e-learning induction course

Induction Courses

  • Let down at the last minute by senior managers who had promised to speak?
  • Looking to put some more life into your slide show?
  • Problems with managers who are “too busy” to join an induction course?

These are all common problems which clients have described to us.

A multimedia induction resource would give you:

  • Flexibility to cover for speakers who fail to turn up
  • An induction package that will work either as interactive speaker support or as standalone learning material for someone too busy or too important to attend
  • A media-rich solution with video, audio and interactivity to make a good impact
  • A modular, menu-driven structure so you can vary the course to suit particular locations or types of employee
  • An interface with your company intranet for the latest news and information
  • Record keeping so that you can prove who was trained in what subjects; this can be essential for safety or regulatory issues.

What it would be
  • Either an interactive CD-ROM
  • Or a modular DVD
  • Or e-Learning courseware
  • Or a combination of online and disk-based learning and presentation

function of multimedia induction resource

What we would do:

  • Meet your senior managers to discover what they would like to say about their departments
  • Liaise with your IT department to see what your network will support, whether users can view media-rich content, and how participation can be recorded
  • Research and write a script
  • Set up a mini studio at your premises and video interviews with the managers; the studio set-up allows them each to walk in, perform and leave within a matter of minutes
  • Shoot and edit other scenes to illustrate what the managers have described and the work of your company in general
  • Create graphic sequences to illustrate other points
  • Record voiceover narration
  • Design and author both disk-based and online e-learning elements
  • Build in features to allow disabled users to access the information
  • Interface with your existing Learning Management System or create a simple User Database to record who has studied what

What to do next

  • Contact us
  • Tell us something about your organisation and the information you need to give new entrants
  • Tell us how you would like to use the induction material
  • Tell us of any limitations you know as regards your IT network and hardware

We’ll then give you

  • A costed proposal, setting out the various options
  • A dummy CD-ROM showing how the finished induction course might work

Construction Site Safety Induction

construction site safety video library

We have worked on construction site safety videos for a number of major contractors and, as a result, now have access to a library of video footage showing a variety of hazards, safety measures, plant and construction site activity.  This means you could have your site safety induction ready, even before the contract begins.  More ...
